internship opportunities to college undergraduates and graduate students.
Description of Internship Duties—help
gather and maintain information for extensive database on the five
“tropical softs” markets which is maintained in Excel. Assist in
development of additional studies, tracking weather, supply and demand
statistics. Heavy emphasis is on helping to input data.
Dates of Internship year round with
complete flexibility on scheduling hours.
Other Qualifications: Applicant must be
highly proficient in Excel (understanding of formulas, macros), and able
to input data efficiently and accurately. Speaking Spanish or Portuguese
is a plus, but not required.
Other Information—This is an excellent
opportunity for hands on experience in learning the dynamics of
agricultural commodities, futures, options, trading, as well as gaining an
understanding of the influence of farm programs, politics, and weather on
prices. All work can be done from school, home via Internet/e-mail.
